1.   Verify that Trend Micro antivirus is up to date at least once a week.

2.   Update Windows with the latest critical updates at least once a week: Microsoft Windows Update

3.   Install all Microsoft Office service packs: Microsoft Office Online

4.   Do not grant others administrative rights to your computer unless it is to install and configure drivers and legitimate software.

5.   Do not install shareware. This includes screensavers (Webshots), cute toolbars, desktop pets and promising weather charts!

6.   Beware of misleading propaganda and pop-ups! Do not hit on any buttons inside of pop-ups - just close it!.
